Join volunteers from the Durham Light Infantry Friends and our Curator, Charli Summers to learn about the iconic High Wood Cross featured in the new exhibition, We Are The Durhams. 

High Wood was one of the most fiercely fought areas on The Somme, the last major wood on the battlefield to be captured by Allied troops. The High Wood Cross, made by soldiers during the battle, remains a powerful reminder of those who fought there.
