Artist workshop: Gelli Printing with Nick Christie from Incubate printing

About this experience

To celebrate our launch, get creative and try something new in the final week of the school holidays, with an action-packed week of workshops with local artists. Each workshop will take inspiration from themes/works within the VOTS exhibition such as light, colour, perception and drawing with light.

This workshop is for children aged 8 to 18 years, under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult, who do not require a ticket.

Use Gelli plates to create colourful & unique images with a variety of simple techniques – without using a press!  

This workshop will focus on creating imagery related to light and colour, using acrylic paint and a wide range of colours. We will create layered prints, using rollers, brushes, building up images using stencils, found leaves and flowers. This technique is a very direct and immediate way of creating prints.
